Bio Zapp
Paint Odor Eliminator
(P.O.E.)
Intended for paint professionals and Do-It-Yourselfers (DIY) alike, be it industrial applications, private homes or public building interiors, refinishing/resurfacing projects, applying solvents, or even painting your nails, Bio Zapp Paint Odor Eliminator helps reduce the odors that occur during the curing process. It doesn't cover or mask the smell. Bio Zapp Paint Odor Eliminator is designed to combine with oxygen to encapsulate the odor-causing particles so they can fall out of the air and dissipate, quickly reducing those pesky lingering odors.
It's important to note that Low-VOC, No-VOC, and VOC-Free paints still have VOCs, just not as many when compared to "traditional" paints. No matter the paint, when pigment or color is added, it raises the VOC content level and the odor that is present. Odors can also come from other chemicals in paints that are not considered VOCs. These odors result from the curing process of all components in the coating, also referred to as "off gassing".

Low VOC paints, like semi-gloss & high gloss formulas, have an odor from off gassing. Also, once tinted, VOC levels generally increase which also means more odor from the use of pigments. Bio Zapp Paint Odor Eliminator can be added to any solvent, (such as Lacquer thinner, MEK or Acetone) used as a thinner. How it Works As any coating with our additive is applied to a surface, it mixes with oxygen. The oxygen attaches at a molecular level to neutralize odors with no lingering scent. This action produces a high comfort level very quickly with a 75% to 90% reduction in odor. Perfect for areas which require quick reoccupation, such as hospitals, schools, offices, residences, elevators, ship holds, industrial plants, and bathrooms. Paint Odor Eliminator History
Over 50 years ago, the invention of refinishing products introduced obnoxious smells associated with paints and coatings directly in apartments, hotels, schools, offices and homes. No matter your location, if you were hiring a third-party finisher or doing the project yourself, many commented...
"It looks great ! But, how long before the smell goes away?!
Professionals struggled for years to rid the job site of these odors, trying everything from scented masking agents to expensive air purification systems.
Decades passed. Nothing seemed to help... Enter Bio Zapp Paint Odor Eliminator!
In the early 1990’s, Coronado Negley Paint Company requested Bio Zapp Labs to create a product to help reduce the odor in architectural coatings being used in confined spaces at the Breckenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas. As a result, we created Bio Zapp Paint Odor Eliminator. The rest is history.

"I got a chance to try Bio Zapp (Paint Odor Eliminator) today. WOW! I was extremely impressed with how well it worked. Once the tub was sprayed, I left the project and spent about 10 minutes cleaning up my equipment, then went back to pull the fan. Normally, the odor is quite heavy but I barely noticed it. I also must add another benefit. I occasionally put some material in a Preval sprayer for touch ups, if needed, and most times I don't go back to the truck to get a respirator. Since I have asthma, the fumes from the Preval usually kick in the asthma and I suffer for a day. This job needed a bit of a touch up and I spayed without the respirator (as foolish as that is) and no asthma!! You have a great product. Consider me a life long user from this day forward”
